Over the years, what remains of the town of Centralia PA has become a curiosity for many. Some of these people have left their trash behind. Others have used the borough as an illegal dumping site. All of this has taken a toll on the area, much of which is slowly being reclaimed by nature.
Joe Sapienza II, who is currently working on a feature length documentary about Centralia, and Bobby Hughes, who works with EPCAMR, have been important forces in leading the recent effort to cleanup town. Their hard work and interest in the story of Centralia, Pennsylvania is important to keeping the town clean and its memory alive.
CentraliaPA.org is a proud supporter of the effort to cleanup Centralia PA and has contributed to it through a donation to the Indiegogo campaign.
